Bowman named to World Champ Team

Sierra-at-Tahoe skier Maddie Bowman was named to the Freestyle and Freeskiing World Champs Team on Monday.

Bowman will be among 34 U.S. athletes who compete in the 2013 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships to be held March 5 -10 in Voss and Oslo, Norway.

Bowman recently won her first X Games gold medal as well as first place at both stops of the Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix at Copper Mountain and Park City Mountain Resort.

David Wise, of Reno Nevada, picked up some similar hardware earlier this season, and made the World Champ cut with Bowman on Monday.

Wednesday, March 6 – Moguls finals (Voss)

Thursday, March 7 – Aerials finals (Voss)

Friday, March 8 – Dual moguls finals (Voss)

Sunday, March 10 – Skicross finals (Voss)
