Boys & Girls Club summer program begins Friday

The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe invites all school-age children to join in for its summer program beginning Thursday. The program will offer a variety of experiences for kids ages 5-18.

There will be several camp themes to choose from including arts and crafts, sports, environment and cooking, among other programs. There will also be a Teen Enterprise program for all students in grades six to 12. The teens will be designing their own meeting place, learning how to start a business, fundraising, gardening and other activities.

Daily passes are $20 each, weekly passes are $50 and the whole summer is $400. There are discounts for families and scholarships are available.

For information, contact Shannon Simmons, director of programs and services, at (530) 542-0838 or http://www.bgclt.org.
