Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District recently announced the appointment of local business leader Mike Bradford to the Board of Trustees.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Fire Chief Ben Sharit and the board to help with the vital services being provided to our community,” said Bradford, the CEO of Lakeside Inn.

Bradford has been very active in the Stateline Nevada community and is working to revitalize the business environment. “We look forward to Mr. Bradford’s insight and participation,” Sharit said.

Bradford was appointed during the December board meeting to fill a vacancy left by the recent resignation of Trustee RJ Clawson.

“The fire district would like to thank RJ for his dedicated service and wish him the best with his growing business endeavors,” Acting Fire Marshal Eric Guevin said in a press release announcing Bradford’s the appointment.

Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District is an “All Risk” department providing fire prevention, fire suppression, advanced life support, explosive ordinance disposal, forest fuels management, and emergency rescue. The professionals respond to 2000 emergency calls annually. The fire district currently holds an ISO rating 3.
