Bread and Broth plans free feast

Jim Grant/Tahoe TribunePreparing for the Bread and Broth Thanksgiving dinner scheduled Nov. 25 at St. Theresa Parish Hall are, from left, Pauline Salvato, Ida Taylor and Hilda Nollett.

The turkeys are on order and the pies are baked. The dressing, gravy and potatoes are waiting for the cooks to make. The smells of a wonderful, free Thanksgiving dinner will once again be wafting in the air as Bread and Broth plans for its 12th annual Thanksgiving feast. This free community dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 25 at St. Theresa Catholic Church Parish Hall, 1037 Lyons Avenue.

Bread and Broth has been serving free dinner meals to people in need each week since 1989. Everyone is always welcome. The Thanksgiving feast is held annually and is offered to those in the community who may not have the opportunity to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal otherwise. Anyone who would like to share in the feast is welcome to attend. Anyone who would like to contribute may do so by stopping by St. Theresa Catholic Church with their donation.
