Buddhist teachings today at Blue Angel Cafe

Ven. Geshe Lobsang Tsultrim will discuss Buddhist philosophy and how to practice from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Blue Angel Cafe, upstairs, 1132 Ski Run Blvd.

Tsultrim will discuss Buddhist philosophy, what distinguishes Tibetan Buddhism from other schools of Buddhism, as well explain simple guidelines for daily practice.

From 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. today Tsultrim will complete a Chenrezig Sand Mandala, an ancient Tibetan art form. The sand mandala is carefully constructed from dyed sand particles to represent the particular esoteric, textual traditions of Buddhism. The Sand Mandala Dissolution Ceremony will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday to symbolize the Buddhist principal of impermanence. Meet at the Blue Angle Cafe and prepare to walk to the beach. Call (775) 586-9125.
