Chase International recently opened an office in Truckee, its seventh. The Bridge Street office – which is located on the ground floor of the Truckee Hotel -will be run by Trinkie Watson and Jean Ludwick.

The real estate company has surmised that sales of Truckee condominiums are set at $500,000, with the price of a home priced at $829,274.

Intrawest reports profitable quarter



Resort and travel operator Intrawest Corp. announced it swung to a profit in the second fiscal quarter in part because of the $60 million sale of a majority of its interest in California’s Mammoth Mountain ski area.

For the quarter ending Dec. 31, the Vancouver-based Intrawest reported net income of $69.3 million compared with a net loss of $7.1 million.




Television, film studios have eyes on Las Vegas

The crews of NBC’s “Las Vegas” and CBS’ “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” had plenty of company in Nevada last year.

Television and film productions pumped $102.5 million into Nevada’s economy in 2005, the sixth straight year the industry exceeded $100 million in statewide revenue, the Nevada Film Office said.
