The Best of Tahoe 2006 “An Evening of Food and Wine Tasting” is slated from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at Harrah’s Tahoe. You must be 21 to attend. Tickets cost $65 per person.

The event includes:

1. Live auction, starting at 8 p.m. in the Valhalla room. Mark Shehadi will be the auctioneer. The goal is to have many one-of-a-kind, unique items.

2. $20 Mystery Bags. Each bag will contain items with a guaranteed value of $20 or more. Get them early, they flew off the shelf last year. We hope to have 200 this year.

3. The silent auction will feature get-away trips, wine, wine packages, jewelry, artwork and personal services packages

4. The raffle prize is a wine cellar with 20 premium wines, a value of $925. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.

Tickets may be purchased from any Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe member. You may also download a fax application from the Web page (SISLT.ORG) if you would like to use your credit card for purchasing your tickets.
