A new show starts a three-month run at Harveys Lake Tahoe Saturday, and chances are it’s unlike any show you’ve seen before.
“IGNITE” is part circus, part cabaret, part burlesque — or “cabaresque” as Madeline Feldman, the show’s creator, calls it.
Feldman is the 27-year-old Tahoe native behind more than 20 productions. Her company, Prestige Productions, produced “Essence” at Harrah’s Reno and “Electrify,” the rock n’ roll burlesque show staged at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino last winter.
As Harveys describes it, IGNITE is a blend of the classic and the contemporary.
“Recognizing the demise of classic ‘show girl’ productions, such as Jubilee at Bally’s Las Vegas, and the rise of remixed music and laser light shows, Prestige Productions aims to disprove the notion that old fashioned and ‘new age’ are mutually exclusive,” states a press release from Harveys. “This show merges new styles and effects with iconic sounds and sizzling old-fashioned burlesque to create a hot night of entertainment. Tantalizing audiences with a bold mix of spectacular lights, singing and dancing, IGNITE … creates a feast for the senses.”
The show features male and female vocal leads, comedy, illusion, acrobatics and classically trained dancers, all combining for a highly entertaining, charged performance unlike any other currently at the lake.
“We are excited to have a unique entertainment offering such as IGNITE,” said Nicholas Breaux-Fujita, regional VP of marketing for Caesars Entertainment. “The Cabaret at Harveys is a wonderful venue that has hosted many famous comedians and acts throughout the years. I believe IGNITE will delight our guests during this winter season.”
The opening show is Saturday, Jan. 26. IGNITE continues each Saturday through April 27 at Harveys.
Tickets for this 21-and-older show are available online at bit.ly/ignitetahoe or at the Harrah’s and Harveys box offices.
Added bonus: The ticket stub is good for complimentary admission to PEEK Nightclub at Harrah’s prior to midnight the same night as the performance.

In December 2019, my pre-pandemic trip to Anchorage, Alaska, didn’t include edible flowers and fresh herb salads. But if I lived there, I could have ordered online dried edible wildflowers.
