Calendars to benefit group foster home
November 3, 2009
The staff at Austin’s House, a group foster home in Douglas County, has produced a 2010 calendar featuring artwork drawn by children who have stayed there. A portion of each $15 purchase will directly benefit Austin’s House.
Austin’s House opened in September 2007, built entirely through community donations. Austin’s House provides services and care for up to 10 children from infant to age 18. The children are placed at Austin’s House after being removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. The group home provides the basic living necessities, including proper nutrition, hygiene, rest, nurturing, recreation, companionship, life skills training and education.
To place a calendar order, contact Conrad Buedel at (775) 267-6676 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for orders is November 13. The calendars will be available for pickup at Austin’s House on Nov. 30.
