A ferris wheel, fun house, slide and midway games will all be part of a carnival that continues through the weekend in Truckee.

The California Carnival runs through Sunday, Aug. 17 at the Truckee River Regional Park Rodeo Parking Lot.

The carnival takes place from 4-10 p.m. on Thursday, 4-11 p.m. on Friday, 12-11 p.m. on Saturday and 12-10 p.m. on Sunday.

There are also rides designed for two to four year olds as well.

An unlimited-rides wristband costs $20 in advance. The wristbands cost $30 on-site.

Advance purchase coupons are on sale at Safeway in Truckee, Tahoe’s Connection for Families at 761 Northwood Blvd. in Incline Village and The Potlatch at 930 Tahoe Blvd. in Incline Village.

A portion of all ticket sales benefit Tahoe’s Connection for Families. The nonprofit organization offers parenting education and early childhood development programs for families with infants and toddlers up to preschool.

“TCF provides families the building blocks to develop their young children’s individual potential and future success through education and structured developmental play,” according to a press release for the carnival.
