Children are invited to participate in the seventh annual Camp Sunrise. Camp Sunrise is a children’s bereavement camp, serving children ages 7 to 14, who have experienced the death of a loved one. Sponsored by the Barton Foundation and Home Health and Hospice, the grief camp takes place June 13-15 at Galilee Camp and Retreat Center in Glenbrook, Nev.

At Camp Sunrise, campers receive grief education and support including memory exercises, physical activity, honoring ceremonies, and talking circles. All activities, including lodging and meals, are free for campers.

Camper applications are available online, or can be picked up at local schools, or the Barton Foundation at 2092 Lake Tahoe Blvd, Suite 600 in South Lake Tahoe. Space is limited; applications must be returned by Friday, May 16. For any additional questions, call the Barton Foundation staff at (530) 543-5614.
