Candidate list gets crowded

The filing period for the Nov. 5 El Dorado County election ends Wednesday.

As it stood Monday, Councilman Hal Cole has filed to seek a third term for one of three open South Lake Tahoe City Council seats. Mayor Brooke Laine and Councilman Bill Crawford are vacating the other two posts.

Painter Mark Cutright, retired airport employee Gunnar Henrioulle, Verizon telecommunications executive Kathay Lovell, Viking Motor Lodge manager Pete MacRoberts, newspaper carrier Stephen Reinhard and Chris Haven Mobile Home Park owner John Upton have filed and qualified as candidates.



Auto service technician Michael Phillips is scheduled to file today.

City treasurer Steve Wysong is running unopposed for his post.



Assistant City Clerk Susan Alessi has also filed to run for the city clerk seat to be vacated by Angie Peterson.
