Candidates face off in two debates
There will be two debates this week between candidates for El Dorado County District 5 supervisor and one debate for district attorney candidates.
The South Lake Tahoe Lodging Association will host a debate Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Inn by the Lake Event Center. Supervisor candidate Ted Long and incumbent Supervisor Norma Santiago will answer questions from the moderator and the audience.
Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe will host a debate Wednesday at noon at Harrah’s convention center for both the supervisor’s candidates and District Attorney Gary Lacy and competitor Vern Pierson.
Each debate is open to the public and will feature a limited timed format.
Candidates will provide an opening statement, and then field questions from the debate organizers and members of the audience as time permits.
