provided Dunah Jr.

A private family celebration is planned for Carl Andrew Dunah Jr., who died June 15, 2004, at Apple Valley, Calif. He was 78.

Carl was born Feb. 5, 1926, at Pasadena, Calif. He was a resident of South Lake Tahoe for more than 25 years, where he was a retired specialist of environmental cosmetology, high altitude balloon reconnaissance and cryogenic crystallization. He was best known for his passion to communicate as a “Good Will Ambassador” to the world. His other love was skiing at Heavenly Valley (every day the lift was open and sometimes a few more.) Prostate cancer may have kept him from his goal of 2,100 consecutive days, but he never allowed the disease to overcome his zest for life.

Carl loved sharing the best qualities the world has to offer – patience, caring, incurable curiosity, understanding and boundless love. Never was there a father who loved his family more and he will be sorely missed by them all. Carl’s family feels his love with them every moment, especially when they see a rainbow.

He is survived by his daughter, DeEtte and future son-in-law, Yaron, of Victorville, Calif.; son and family, Chandler, Lisa, Amanda and Alyssa of Newbury Park, Calif.; sister, Beverly of Pasadena; and dear family friends, John and Dolores Martin.

In lieu of flowers or cards the family requests donations be given to Barton Memorial Hospital Hospice of the Lake, 2092 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Suite 500, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150.
