Carol Clason

A celebration of life luncheon will take place Jan. 4 for Carol Ronan Kraham Clason, who died Dec. 28, 2004, with her family at her side at her home in Zephyr Cove following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 70.

Carol was born Aug. 26, 1934, at Amityville, N.Y., and was a graduate of The Convent of the Sacred Heart, New York City. A 26-year resident of Zephyr Cove, she was a wife, mom, grandmother and homemaker as well as a community volunteer.

She loved spending time with her family, playing bridge, traveling the world and living abroad in Japan and Germany.Carol was a member of the Edgewood Ladies Bridge Club and the Republican Women’s Club.

She is survived by her husband of more than 46 years, Roy Clason; daughter, Lora McKay; son, Roy Clason Jr.; and granddaughter, Kelly McKay, all of Zephyr Cove; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Marguerite Klett of Princeton, Ill.; several nieces; a nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins nationwide; and her granddog, Bentley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Severin Kraham; and her mother, Katherine Ronan Kraham.

A celebration of life luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 at the Edgewood Tahoe Golf Club, Stateline, Nev. Family and friends are invited.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
