Caroline N. Gonzales

Caroline N. Gonzales died Feb. 10, 2005, at Wellington, Nev. She was 89.

Caroline was born Jan. 8, 1916, at Santa Clara, Calif., and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe for 16 years before moving to Wellington four years ago. She had worked as a porter for all the casinos in Stateline at one time or another over 26 years. She was a wrestling fan and she enjoyed cooking, gardening and shopping. Caroline loved to help out friends and neighbors and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by sons, John Riccabona, Salvatore Riccabona and Anthony Riccabona, all of Antioch, Calif.; step-daughters, Josie Fedderson of Concord, Calif., and Cynthia Martinez of Sacramento, Calif.; brother, Frank Nevis of Carson City, Nev.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.



A visitation will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the McFarlane Mortuary Chapel, 887 Emerald Bay Road. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Happy Homestead Cemetery.
