Carolyn Dolan and Big Red will bring the blues back to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe this weekend.

The R&B group returns to Hard Rock’s Vinyl venue for a free show Friday night.

“Carolyn Dolan has been leading rock, blues, jazz, country and funk bands for over two decades. She has been entertaining audiences for over 25 years with her soulful blues voice accompanied by the blues harmonica, which is always by her side ready to deliver,” according to Dolan’s biography.

“She can dive into powerful R&B tunes, deliver a smooth jazz standard, or embellish a gentle country ballad. Her country roots run so deep that on Oct. 24, 2015 Carolyn Dolan was inducted into the Western Swing Hall of Fame for her dedication and commitment to the preservation, promotion, and perpetuation of Western Swing Music.”

The group also includes Ron Savage (keyboards), Bob Wilder (bass), Steve Self (drums) and London’s Mick Clarke (guitar).

“(Clarke) is truly one of the great English blues purists to come out of the early English blues/rock scene in the late ’60s; playing with Long John Baldry, John Entwistle and Chuck Berry to name a few,” according to the bio.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50 U.S. Highway 50 in Stateline.
