Carousel Estate on Lake Tahoe West Shore on market for $29.5 million (video)

On the heels of a summer in which one Lake Tahoe property sold for more than $30 million and another property hit the market for $75 million, a property on Tahoe’s West Shore is now for sale for $29.5 million.

The lakefront property, known as the Carousel Estate, boasts privacy with trees dotting a sprawling lawn, according to a listing on Oliver Luxury Real Estate. Located at 2340 Sunnyside Lane in Tahoe City, the property offers 3.5 level acres, approximately 200 feet of lake front, a marina style pier and two buoys.

The property’s main home has eight bedrooms and 9½ bathrooms along with a two-car garage. The main home is divided into three separate living areas connected by breezeways.

The Carousel Estate also includes a guest unit with three-bedrooms, one bathroom and a separate two-car garage.

This past summer, the waterfront estate formerly owned by casino mogul Steve Wynn sold for $31.1 million in Incline Village. The sale reportedly set a record for Incline Village.

Within weeks of that sale, an estate on the cliffs of Lake Tahoe’s North Shore went up for sale for $75 million. Named Crystal Pointe, the property set a record for the highest price listing at Lake Tahoe, according to Chase International, the real estate firm representing the property.
