Carrell, Payer wed in Shingle Springs

Jennifer Carrel of South Lake Tahoe and S. Mason Payer of Bend, Ore., were married Sept. 2, 2006, at the Sogno Winery in Shingle Springs.

Jennifer Carrell and S. Mason Payer were married Sept. 2, 2006, at Sogno Winery in Shingle Springs, Calif. Father Kent McNair performed the double ring ceremony with 125 people in attendance.

The bride is the daughter of Nick and Margo Carrell of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. The bridegroom’s parents are Steve Payer and Melanie Donnelly of Bend, Ore.

Given in marriage by her father and mother, the bride was attired in a simple A- line gown with a chapel length tram, with crystals on the top and bottom hems of the gown and pleated sheer ruffles at the top and bottom flowers with sunset calla lilys, chocolate and ivory roses and stephanotis.

The maid of honor was the sister of the bride, Courtney Carrell of Dayton, Nev., and the bridesmaids were Blair Caley, Erin McElroy, Mia Bongiovanni, Erika Larsen of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and Launa Girodano of Sacramento, Calif. All chose their own style from the same designer but in the same color, a deep red.

Best man was Graham Payer of Bend, Ore., the brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Justin Shrake of Bend, Ore., Chris Koning of Eugene, Ore., Pat Koegler of Carlsbad, Calif., Doug Miller of Bend, Ore. and Josh Guinn of Bend, Ore.

The flower girl was Darby Creegan of South Lake Tahoe, Calif., and the ringbearer was Jacob Dennis of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.

The reception was also held at Sogno Winery and the honeymoon was in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

The bride graduated from South Tahoe High School in 1999 and from Sonoma State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Sunriver Preparatory High School and of the University of Oregon in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies.
