Carson Valley churches merge

GARDNERVILLE – Berean Bible Church and Gentle Shepherd Bible Fellowship merged on Sept. 12 to become Berean Bible Church at 1516 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

Berean Church met in their Haas Center location for 11 years. Gentle Shepherd met in the Gardnerville Ranchos for the last five years, and is in the process of dissolving its legal charter.

The combined church is led by Eddie Almeida and Llew Bush.

Almeida of Berean Bible Church is senior pastor who teaches from the Book of Romans at 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship. Almeida is a graduate of the Master’s Seminary in Sun Valley, Calif.

Bush, formerly of Gentle Shepherd, is ordained as elder of Berean Bible Church and will conduct Sunday worship every five or six weeks. He is a graduate of Talbot School of Theology, La Mirada, Calif.

Church members gather 6 p.m. Wednesdays for informal discussion of Uunleashing God’s Word in Your Life” by John MacArthur.
