CASA Evening of Opulence set for May 1

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, is hosting its fourth annual South Lake Tahoe fundraiser “An Evening of Opulence,” on May 1 at the Marcus Ashley Fine Art Gallery.

The event will feature cuisine from the Cork & More and wines by Madrona Vineyards, FOLIO Wine Partners and Crystal Basin Cellars. The black-tie optional gala will also offer live entertainment, fine art and a live and silent auction with auctioneer George Alm.

Tickets are $75 per person, with all proceeds going to support community children.

CASA El Dorado, a nonprofit organization, recruits, trains and matches volunteer advocates with children that are part of the court system as a result of abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers are appointed directly by a judge and attend each court hearing, advocating for the best interests of the child. CASA is a national organization serving in counties throughout the United States. CASA El Dorado has served more than 400 children in the last 12 months alone.
