CASA offers Kids Bag Lunch

Tribune

Order lunch in, have it delivered to your office and support the Court Appointed Special Advocates at the same time. March 8 will be the date that businesses can do all three when they order their CASA Kids Bag Lunch.

CASA is offering businesses the opportunity to order in lunch for $7 an employee. The lunch includes a turkey, roast beef or cheese hoagie-style sandwich, plus chips, dessert and a beverage. Everything will be delivered fresh to individual businesses before lunch on March 8.

CASA, a nonprofit organization working directly with the court, matches trained volunteers with children who have been made part of the dependency court system through no fault of their own. These children have been victims of abuse or neglect. CASA provides a powerful voice in court for these children who have had no voice of their own. The CASA volunteer is an independent advocate for the child’s best interests for as long as they are part of the court system.

Community support is vital to assure that every child lives in a safe environment, free from neglect and protected from abuse. People can provide the community link through their support of the CASA Kids Bag Lunch. Call the CASA office at (530) 573-3072 to order and for more information.
