Casino shuttle to reduce daily trips

Tahoe Casino Express shuttles between the Stateline casinos and the Reno/Tahoe International Airport have scaled back to nine daily runs starting today.

In the past, there have been 14 daily runs.

The reduction is in conjunction with declining air service. Increased service will resume when business picks up, area transit spokesman Steve Teshara said. He expects the schedule will revert to normal for the winter, a season that runs about 18 roundtrip fares.

In the meantime, the scaling-back of shuttle runs was spaced throughout the day to offer service at various times of day. Most of the trips that were cut were evening runs.
