Celebrate South Shore’s good cheer this Friday

With 2007 winding down it’s time to get into the South Shore community and holiday spirit.

And there’s no better way of showing your good cheer than by joining in a long-held South Shore tradition of its Community Holiday Celebration and Tree and Menorah Lighting ceremony. Festivities are Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority Center.

Activities include:

” Free sleigh/carriage rides from Borges Family Sleigh and Carriage Rides

” Music by Lake DJ and carols sung by The Blue Ribbon Choir

” Hot chocolate, cider and cookies

” Authentic home-made tamale dinners available for $5 to benefit Tahoe Thunder Under 10 and Tahoe Revolution Under 14 Boys Soccer Teams. Tamale dinners are sponsored by J&L Pro Kleen Inc. and Margaritas Restaurant.

” Food and Toy drive – please bring donations for Christmas Cheer

” A visit from Santa who will be available for picture taking.

Get into the holiday spirit this Friday, Dec. 7 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., at the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (LTVA) Visitors Center, across from the Tahoe Daily Tribune, 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Shore Lake Tahoe
