A celebration of life is planned for noon May 8 at El Dorado Beach for 11-year-old Chandler Nash Elliott, a fifth grader who loved dirt bikes, traveling and cub scouts.

Chandler died in his father’s Kingsbury Grade home on Dec. 14. His death has been ruled a suicide.

Chandler’s mother, Mini Barstow, has asked attenants to bring a lawn chair and a memory of her son to share.

“I just want people to come to tell me the happy stories they have of Chandler,” she said.

Chandler’s Boy Scout troop will perform a flag ceremony at the memorial.
