Celtic harp player to perform at Library

South Lake Tahoe Friends of the Library will host Anne Roos for a performance of harp music from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library conference room, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd.

Roos has been performing professionally on the Celtic harp since 1983. She began her career at Renaissance fairs and quickly became a popular soloist for many other events. She has performed for literally thousands of weddings as well as business corporate events, concerts and educational workshops. Locations of her performances include major resorts, hotels, convention centers, cruise ships, and concert venues throughout the country. She has even been invited to perform for several dignitaries including the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ireland.

Roos performs regularly as the Sunday brunch harpist at Llewellyns, the restaurant on the top floor of Harveys Resort & Casino. She takes requests from guests including anything from “Canon in D” and “Greensleeves” to “Stairway to Heaven.”
