Chamber will decide on Measure A

Tribune Staff Report

The South Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are expected to take a stance on El Dorado County Measure A when they meet Thursday at 8 a.m. at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.

Other chambers in the county opposed the measure that would reduce population density in new developments on the west slope of the county.

The executive committee will recommend the full board oppose the measure.

In other business, incoming board president Stan Hansen will announce his executive committee and the board will discuss federal legislation that would give the Tahoe Basin a special designation such as national scenic area or national recreation area.
