Cheerleaders help out preschoolers

Recently, during one of their cheer practices, the South Tahoe High School Junior Varsity Cheer Squad spent the evening putting together bags for the El Dorado County First 5 program.

The bags included an age-appropriate children’s book, a toothbrush, dental floss and information for parents on various parenting programs. The bags were delivered to the Lake Tahoe Unified School District’s four elementary schools and distributed to the schools’ preschool-age students.

The team has selected a canned food drive as its next community project.
