Cheryl Smith Hall

Cheryl Smith Hall was born to Charles and Gayle Smith in Oklahoma City in 1955. She attended N.W. Classen High School and the University of Oklahoma.

After College she worked in the airline industry before moving to South Lake Tahoe in 1979. She loved boating, skiing, cooking and entertaining many great friends which she has kept through the years.

She met her husband and best friend Jack in 1983 in South Lake Tahoe. They married one year later and moved to the Carson Valley to start their family. She loved being a stay at home mom for their three children Sierra, Corie, and Alex. She was a volunteer mom in their classrooms and kept very busy with all of their activities.

She started designing homes part time and found great pleasure with her work. She and Jack had a very happy and loving marriage and life together.

Cheryl fought an extreme battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer for three years traveling back and forth from Gardnerville to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. She lost that battle on August 20, 2008. She is survived by Jack, Sierra, Corie, Alex, Mother Gayle Cable, Father and Stepmother Charlie and Bess Smith, Brothers Chuck and Russell of Oklahoma City, and many nieces and nephews. She wanted all of her friends to know how much their support meant to her.

A celebration of life will be held at Edgewood Golf Course on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 12:30 p.m.
