Children’s Environmental Science Day to be held
Children’s Environmental Science Day is a free community event held annually for children ages 6 and older, and their families. The event includes hands-on science activities designed to create an awareness of the ecology of Lake Tahoe and provide an opportunity for young and old to learn about environmental and Earth science.
The event is hosted by University of California, Davis scientists, staff, and local agencies and organizations of the Lake Tahoe Basin. The event features science activities, games, crafts, and demonstrations.
This is the 15th annual event and will be held on Aug. 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. Contact Heather Segale, education and outreach director at (775) 881-7562 or hmsegale@ucdavis.edu for more information.
