Children’s theater workshop starts Monday

Space is still available for an upcoming children’s theater workshop with the Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater Company.

The workshop begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday at 2107 James Ave. and runs through July 24.

Participants will work on acting, singing, dancing, improvisation, auditioning and other theater skills. The workshop is under the direction of Liz Niven and Marcia Sarosik and technical director by Bob Grant. Past productions have included “the Wizard of Oz,” “Peter Pan” and “Beauty and the Beast.”

Everyone in the workshop will be cast in the sock hop/soda shop musical “The Nifty 50’s”.
