The Tahoe Choir, in conjuction with the Lake Tahoe Community College chorus, will present its 33rd annual holiday concert, "Favorite Choruses & Carols," in three performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Mark your calendars and plan on attending the 33rd annual holiday musical fete to be presented in three concerts by the renown Tahoe Choir in conjunction with the Lake Tahoe Community College chorus. The concerts will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in the LTCC college theater and at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Theresa Catholic Church.

Admission is $10 general and $8 for seniors. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the LTCC bookstore and from Tahoe Choir members. They will be available at the door 30 minutes before each concert.

The concert, “Favorite Choruses & Carols,” came about in part from audience requests for repeats over the years of both classical and light favorites. The first half will feature selections from Vivaldi’s “Gloria” and Handel’s “Messiah.” The opening movement of Stravinsky’s “Symphony of Psalms” will be accompanied on the piano by both Salli Parker and Julie Frame. A spiritual and lullaby with soloists Al Zajic and Susie Grubb and other soloists are included in the second half of the program.

“We had to include “Sleigh Ride” and “Jingle Bells,” which feature our marvelous bass section,” said Linda Mitchell, choir director.

Other works and soloists are included in both halves of the concert.
