Choir continues holiday tradition

This year’s program of traditional holiday music presented by the Tahoe Choir combined with the Lake Tahoe Community College Chorus will open with the first movement of Bach’s “Magnificat,” then continue to encourage you to have a “Merry Little Christmas” with familiar carols.
Be sure to mark your calendars for 8 p.m. Dec. 2 and 3 at Lake Tahoe Community College Duke Theater and 3 p.m. Dec. 4 at St. Theresa Catholic Church on Lyons Avenue.
This traditional annual event presented under the direction of Linda Mitchell ushers our community into the holiday season each year.
The concert by the Tahoe Choir and the Lake Tahoe Community College Chorus includes a performance by the Lake Tahoe Community College Recorders.
“Let It Snow” as you hear a wide variety of American, German, Spanish, and Hebrew traditional music, both lively and solemn.
This is a program of variety and tradition, one to keep your interest and inspire you as well. Come and enjoy this wonderful program from our community choir as it enters its 35th year of entertaining us.

In the spring the choir will journey (by invitation) for the third time to New York’s Carnegie Hall to participate in a gala concert.
