City Council brief

The South Lake Tahoe City Council will meet today to go over a number of issues facing the city.

At 1:30 p.m., the panel will hear presentations starting with the League of California Cities.

Afterward, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency is scheduled to provide an overview of the Lake Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program. The overview will be followed by a report on the city’s upcoming design charette in May. This contest will review the Ski Run Marina area as well as the overall geographic framework of the city.

The council also may adopt a resolution opposing AB 680, a California sales and property tax bill. The panel may agree to approve an agreement with Design Workshop to revise the Park Avenue Redevelopment landscape drawings.

The meeting takes place at the council chambers, 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
