City Council to hear housing report

Susan Wood, Tribune staff writer

Anyone wanting to know the state of housing in South Lake Tahoe may do so at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, when the panel hears the results of a survey on the important issue.

The report will be given during a workshop slated for 9 a.m. in council chambers at 1900 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

The city is undergoing a review of the housing section of its general plan, the master blueprint for planning in the town.

The panel is also apt to fill its commissions that morning, upon receiving enough applications for quorums on all commissions. The city was forced to extend the application period a month ago to allow interested applicants time to respond.

Also on the agenda, the City Council will also review the annual maintenance budget for Park Avenue.
