City extends filing date

Michael Schneider

Prospective candidates for South Lake Tahoe city offices will have until Aug. 12 to file for the November 3 election. The city clerk’s office has extended the deadline because two incumbents will not seek re-election.

Last-minute entrees can pick up needed information at the City Clerk’s office at 1052 Tata Lane.

The offices of city treasurer and city clerk are also up for election. Incumbents Angela Peterson, clerk, and Stephen Wysong, treasurer, have announced intentions to seek re-election. Neither is opposed as of Thursday.
