City offers emergency preparation tips

Provided to the Tribune

The city of South Lake Tahoe has announced that it is offering emergency preparation guides.

The guides, a 12-part monthly series, are for community members and are part of the city’s initiative to increase communications about emergency preparedness. The first guide in the series focuses on action plans and provides suggestions for creating a family emergency disaster plan. It also contains contact number for agencies within city limits and throughout El Dorado County, according to a press release. The second guide focuses on emergency supplies, including first aid supplies, water, food, tools and special items. The third guide offers suggestions on preparing important documents for an emergency event.
