City offers kids camp during winter break

The city of South Lake Tahoe Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a holiday camp Dec. 21-31 for youth in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Cost is $20-$23 per day, or $70 per week. All participants must sign in by 9:15 a.m. and bring a sack lunch and snow clothes each day.

The camp runs from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and includes baking cookies, ice skating, swimming, movies, gym games, arts and crafts, cooking and more.



On Dec. 23, the group will board a Lake Tahoe Unified School District Bus and visit the Dollar Store, Starbucks, Dairy Queen and the Carson Valley Swim Center. On Dec. 30, participants age 8 and over will visit Fun Quest for Lazer Tag, while those age 7 and under will visit Tumble Town.
