City says to avoid Upper Truckee Restoration Project area
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The City of South Lake Tahoe is urging people to stay away from the construction activity near a section of the Upper Truckee River located near to the Airport.
The area is “dangerous and should be avoided,” according to http://www.cityofslt.us.
The construction activity involves heavily loaded dump trucks and other heavy equipment are using the paved access road that extends from Lodi Avenue (near the west end of Barbara Avenue in the Sierra Tract) to the Upper Truckee River.
Several bike paths also cross through the construction zone, and people are asked to use an alternative route that does not cross through the construction site. The construction site is closed to the public during construction.
Those choosing to ignore warnings could be prosecuted for unlawful trespassing.
