City wants to hear from residents about next year’s budget
August 14, 2008
Residents will have a chance to say what they think the city’s priorities should be in writing next year’s budget at a meeting Monday evening.
The meeting will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Participants will view the city’s “Budget 101” video and hear a brief summary of major city and state budget issues. Then, residents can ask questions and discuss items they would like to see – or not see – in next year’s budget.
The city’s next fiscal year starts Oct. 1.
All comments and suggestions from the meeting will be forwarded to the City Council before final budget decisions are made. Pizza and refreshments will be served.
