Classes offered at Kahle Center

Kahle Community Center is offering two new classes at the center, 236 Kingsbury Grade.

Cook’in at Kahle is being offered in a series of classes that will refine knife skills and expand participant’s cooking repertoire through hands-on experience. The four classes include soup, salad, entrees and desserts and recipes will include vegetarian and ethic cuisine. Classes will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday with the first class beginning Jan. 17. The other classes are scheduled Jan. 31, Feb. 21, March 7 and March 28.

Registration at least one week in advance is desired. The fee is $15 per class and instructor is Kay Huxtable.

A Financial Workshop for Individual Investors is being offered by Gary Handzel, who is with Edward Jones Investments. This five-week course is being offered to assist individuals in setting financial and investment goals. The class will provide a summary of the most common investment used by individuals in reaching their objectives.

The class is scheduled Jan. 13 through Feb. 10 and the cost is $15. There is also an $8 materials fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.
