Heavenly Village presents the final Good Sam Safe Ride-sponsored car show of the summer from Friday, Oct. 7, through Sunday, Oct. 9.

“The weekend of Oct. 7-9 is a free Classic car owner appreciation show open to all cars, trucks and motorcycles and free to all,” states a press release from Good Sam Safe Ride.

The South Lake Tahoe Classic Car Show marks the time of year when Good Sam Safe Ride will finally raffle off the year’s grand prize — a 1952 Tin Woody and 1968 Vintage Shasta Trailer. On Sunday at 2 p.m. the organization’s 54th giveaway in 31 years will be awarded to one person.

“It’s a need-not-be-present-to-win drawing, but this year we are offering an extra $100 cash bonus if the winner is present when they win, so we hope to have a pretty large group of locals and out-of-towners standing around at 2 p.m. on Sunday to see if they are the winners,” states the release.

Raffle tickets are $5 each, 5 for $20, 15 for $50 or 33 for $100.

The show is held throughout the day from Friday through Sunday. All three days offer free vehicle entry, with show-and-shines on Friday and Sunday, and judging for 25 trophies on Saturday.

Good Sam Safe Ride is a nonprofit that promotes the use of designated drivers and seat belts as the best defense against the dangers of drunk driving.
