Closures and cancellations due to the Angora fire:

— South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Swim Pool Complex, 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. The swimming pool, weight room and Jazzercise classes are closed until further notice. All swim lessons have been canceled. Information: (530) 542-6057.

— Valhalla Arts, Theater and Music Festival is postponing Divas and Decadence until a future date. Proceeds of Divas will benefit victims of the fire. Celtic Festival scheduled June 30 and July 1 is pending. Information: (530) 541-4975.



— The California Department of Transportation is postponing a public meeting regarding projects that are part of the Tahoe Environmental Improvement Program due to the Angora fire.

The meeting, originally scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at Inn by the Lake has been rescheduled for the same hours on July 12 at Bijou Community School, 3501 Spruce Ave.



The meeting is being held as part of the Program Environmental Impact Report’s Public Review Period. Caltrans staff will be available to answer questions about eight projects on U.S. Highway 50 from Meyers Grade to Stateline and on State Highway 89 from Luther Pass to Tahoma.

— The Hawaiian Dance with the Tahoe Dance Band scheduled July 29 at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center has been canceled. The next dance will take place July 27.
