El Dorado County’s local non-partisan progressive group, the Coalition for Change, is joining Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films as they open the nationwide week of screenings of the new film, “Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers” on Sunday in Placerville.

The film addresses the privatization of the Iraq war and the billions of dollars in profit being taken by multinational corporations.

The group will gather at the county courthouse at 3:30 p.m. for a moment of silence for the fallen and then walk to the Cozmic Cafe at 594 Main St. in Placerville.

There will be a brief discussion of Rep. John Doolittle’s voting record on the war and veterans’ issues, followed by a screening of the film.
