Coldwell Banker growing by leaps and bounds

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage of Northern California has been on a roll lately in the fluid world of real estate.

The company recently announced it bought the San Francisco operations of Fred Sands City Properties. The move further increases the real estate giant’s prominence in the marketplace.

It’s the tenth acquisition for Coldwell Banker in the last three years.

Still, this latest buy has “little effect” on the Coldwell Banker franchise in terms of additional resources to use in South Lake Tahoe, Jim McKinney confirmed.

It sounds as though McKinney doesn’t need the help or access to corporate resources. Coldwell Banker accounts for about 35 percent of the real estate business around the lake, he said.

Avram Goldman, Coldwell Banker Northern California president and chief operating officer, calls the addition a perfect fit for the real estate company.

Under terms of the transaction, Coldwell Banker Northern California will take over two Fred Sands offices in San Francisco, adding 37 more sales associates.

Earlier, Coldwell Banker Northern California bought Pacific Preferred Properties, a brokerage with 400 sales associates in 19 offices based in Lake Tahoe and Sacramento. The firm recorded a sales volume of $1.09 billion.
