College offers leadership workshops

Provided to the Tribune

Local supervisors and managers will have the opportunity to hone their leadership skills at a number of interactive workshops being held this winter at Lake Tahoe Community College. All classes are three hours in length and provide “corporate training” style instruction.

The first class, “The Ethics of Leadership” (BSN191AT) explores the central role of honesty in business dealings, the importance of principle-centered leadership, and the inherent benefits of treating employees with respect and dignity. The class is scheduled from 6 to 8:50 p.m. Jan. 31 in the college board room.

Other classes include “Coaching and Motivating Employees for Improved Performance” (BSN191AU) on Feb. 9 and “A Leader’s View of Service” on March 13.

Students must register before the classes begin at or in person at the LTCC campus.
