College to present ‘Hair’

Journey back to the Age of Aquarius and the flower children of the 1960s in the original American tribal love/rock musical “Hair.” The 1968 Broadway original helped redefine the musical theater. It spoke to the complex social and political themes during the Vietnam Era of racism, discrimination, violence, sexual repression and pollution.

This Lake Tahoe Community College production will brand the show with its own uniqueness, living in the spirit of the 1960s, while looking at the current social and political climate. Show times are 8 p.m. June 16 and 17 and 2 p.m. June 18 at the TLC Duke Theater.

Tickets are $7 general admission, $5 for seniors and children and $4 for LTCC student body cardholders. Ticket may be purchased at the theater box office.
