College vision session postponed until fall

Lake Tahoe Community College’s 2020 Vision Session originally planned for Saturday has been canceled.

The college and community are mourning the loss of several members of the college family. Out of respect for those who passed and their family members and friends, LTCC is postponing the visioning session until fall 2013. An announcement with a new date and time for this session will come soon, according to a college press release.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday for former LTCC Instructor Kathy Bluethman at George Whittell High School on the football field at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the George Whittell Athletic Department, P. O. Box 677, Zephyr Cove, NV, 89448.

A memorial service for former LTCC Instructor Carl Young will also be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at McFarlane Mortuary, 887 Emerald Bay Road. The family asks that donations in his memory be sent to the Ventana Wildlife Society.
