Come out for the trout

Tahoe Daily Tribune file. More than 1,000 pounds of rainbow trout are planted in Lake Baron at Tahoe Paradise Park for the Kids Fishing Derby.

The men and women of the South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge 1632 will present the fifth annual Kids Fishing Derby on Sunday.

The derby, hosted by Tahoe Paradise Park, will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants can bring their own tackle. Loaner poles will be available.

The event will include free food, free fun, free fishing and raffle prizes. It is sponsored by El Dorado Savings Bank, Kmart, Lira’s Market and many more businesses in the community. Everyone is welcome to come on down and have a good time.
