Members of Temple Bat Yam, Lake Valley Fire Protection District and South Lake Tahoe Fire Department held a community cleanup day at the synagogue on May 18.

The collaboration supported Fire Adapted Communities, a national effort that prepares residents in fire-prone areas to survive wildfire; evacuate early, safely and effectively; and survive if trapped by wildfire.

To schedule a wildfire prevention effort, call South Lake Tahoe Fire Department at 530-542-6160.
